Terms of Use

By accessing or using GrindVault (the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and anyone else who accesses the Platform.

GrindVault is currently in alpha. The Platform, including its smart contracts, is experimental software that has not been audited by an independent security firm. You acknowledge that:

• Smart contracts may contain bugs or vulnerabilities.
• Funds deposited into escrow could be lost due to software defects.
• The Platform may be modified, paused, or discontinued at any time without notice.
• You should not stake any amount you cannot afford to lose in its entirety.

You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Platform. By using GrindVault, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.

You are solely responsible for determining whether using the Platform is legal in your jurisdiction. Wagering, gambling, or skill-based contests for money may be prohibited or restricted in your location. GrindVault does not provide legal advice. If participation is illegal where you are located, you must not use the Platform.

GrindVault does not hold or custody your funds. All USDC stakes are held in non-custodial smart contract escrow accounts on the Solana blockchain. The Platform team does not have the ability to unilaterally transfer funds out of escrow except in the following limited cases:

• Collecting the 2% protocol fee at settlement.
• Admin resolution of disputed matches (setting the winner on-chain).
• Admin force-cancellation of abandoned active matches, resulting in full refunds to both players.

A fee of 2% of the total pot is deducted at settlement and transferred to the protocol treasury. This fee is non-refundable and is encoded in the smart contract. No other fees are charged.

When both players submit conflicting match results, the challenge enters a Disputed state. A GrindVault admin will review available evidence and set the winner on-chain. Admin decisions are final and cannot be appealed through the Platform.

GrindVault admins are not arbitrators and do not guarantee accurate outcomes. Submitting false match results is a violation of these Terms and may result in a ruling against you.

You agree not to:

• Submit false match results.
• Collude with an opponent to manipulate outcomes.
• Attempt to exploit bugs or vulnerabilities in the smart contracts.
• Use the Platform in any jurisdiction where it is prohibited.
• Use the Platform for money laundering or any other illegal activity.

Violations may result in admin-forced cancellation of your challenges without refund at the admin's sole discretion.

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, GrindVault and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of funds, arising out of your use of or inability to use the Platform — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We will update the effective date at the top of this page when changes are made.
